Our economy is not the only thing growing, our Students Society has had more student involvement than ever last year, and this year is shaping up to be an even better year. A snap shot of the first semester would include everything from the legendary Beerfest that’s the place to be in Regina on a Saturday night each semester, to our first Pub Golf, the most epic drinking game in the history of drinking games, whose origin can be traced back to St. Andrews, Scotland, the birthplace of golf. Don’t forget Second Year Mug ceremony, where second year students are welcomed with a prestigious mug and all the beer they can drink, followed by the Git ‘R Done cabaret. There are always the lined up $1 Beer in the Lounges featuring the largest plasma and most powerful sound system in any lounge on campus. Drinking not your thing, and you’d rather spend your time making connections in the business world? Sweet. Come to our Year 1-4 Reception and mingle with Professional Engineers, government figures, and other important folks from around the city that can help get you places. Oh, and like any RESS event, the drinks are cheap here too.
It goes without saying that any engineer is more than welcome at anytime to participate in any of our events. If you’re on a work-term in the Regina area, you’d be crazy not to get in contact with us to see how you can get involved.
