2012: the BESST year EVER!

Along with our collaborative effort to host CFES Congress 2012 in Whitehorse, a WESST member school has officially been selected as the Canadian Engineering Competition 2012 host:
Congrats to the UBC Engineering Undergraduate Society, official host for CEC 2012!

Now if we can just get someone in WESST to host President’s Meeting…2012 could be the BESST year yet!

I’m also happy to announce that Abe Kohandel from the University of Calgary has been selected as the new BOD Chair for the CFES, and as such will be leading the remaining CFES BOD meetings as well as chairing plenary at Congress 2011 in Newfoundland. Congrats Abe!

The rumors are true! In January of 2012, the Canadian Federation of Engineering Students Congress will be held in Whitehorse, YT, via a collaborative effort between all the schools within WESST. Congress 2012 – VP Finance

Howdy fellow WESSTerners,

As some of you may already know, UVic B with the help of the West Region will be hosting Congress 2012 in Whitehorse, Yukon. Co-Chair Ryan Taal is currently looking for help with the planning process. Specifically he is looking for a VP Finance for Congress 2012.

If you are interested in this position please apply to Ryan (rwjtaal@gmail.com) with the following: name, school, year, any experience you have, and why you want the position. The application deadline is May 25th.

This is a great opportunity to get involved with what might be the greatest Congress yet!

The time to register for WESST EM 2010 is here! If you are an incoming or outgoing executive from a WESST member school, you can sign up for WESST EM here.

Delegate fees for the conference will be approximately $75/person.
